Q. What made you get into trucking?

A. (Amy) I wanted a new adventure working with my husband. He talked me into team driving tractor trailer.

A. (Brenda) I've always wanted to drive a truck since school. I got my license in 1998 and I've covered 48 states plus Canada!

A. (Cassandra) Kevin and I owned a restaurant, we decided to close it and start something new. We decided to get our CDL's and start this new adventure!

Q. Why do you like driving for Tri-State?

A. (Amy) They took a chance on us. We loved being new to trucking and having such amazing trainers. The people are so good to us, great routes, and the pay is great! I wish we found them sooner!

A. (Brenda) Tri-State is very family-oriented, especially since the new owners took over. They make sure we're taken care of out here! We're not just a number to them, we're a name. I have nothing negative to say about this place.

A. (Cassandra) Every company can tell you that they're like a family and you won't be just a number, but Tri-State actually treats everyone like we're one big family. Everyone here is so friendly!

Q. What advice do you have for women thinking about going into trucking?

A. (Amy) Start young. If someone would've told me about it sooner, I would have started earlier. Reach out to other female drivers for help and questions. Don't be intimidated! I'm small and I'm doing great!

A. (Brenda) Always ask questions. This is a tough industry, make sure it's right for you. Ask advice from other truckers!

A. (Cassandra) Don't be intimidated. Us women belong out here just as much as the guys do!

On September 14th, 2023, we celebrated THREE employees that have been with Tri-State for 30 years with a steak and chicken lunch!

Leston

Leston is one of our successful trainees! He obtained is CDL A from Owens Community College and came to Tri-State to get over the road training. Hear what he has to say about his experience!

"Owens classes were small, which was perfect for more one on one time with the instructors. There were 5 students and 2 instructors that were beyond helpful. I thought I learned a lot there, until I came to Tri-State!

Dennis, the trainer/mentor here at Tri-State, is awesome. He was very informative and answered my many questions. He made me feel comfortable working with him, and over time we became like family! Still to this day, I call him with any questions.

Dispatch here at Tri-State is great! They keep me running over the road. Everyone here works together to ensure that they keep us drivers moving. Pay is great too! I think everyone should give this a try, you won't regret it. I know I don't!

What a great day for our Driver, Iurii! After fleeing Ukraine due to the war and coming to America one year ago TODAY (2/24/23), he is celebrating the end of his CDL A training with our in-house trainer/mentor and is ready to go out OTR with Tri-State Expedited Service! His energy and positivity is very contagious and we are honored that he picked Tri-State as his family! Congratulations Iurii! We look forward to our future together!
